The smart choice isn't a smaller beer. It's a better one.
Moderation stopped being a sacrifice
Something changed in how Europe drinks. Not less enjoyment, less alcohol. People still want the ritual, the glass, the taste, the moment. They just don't always want what comes after it. Low and no-alcohol beer is the fastest-growing category in European brewing, and it's not driven by people who don't like beer. It's driven by people who love it.
The hard part is flavour
Take alcohol out of beer and you take out body, aroma carry and sweetness. That's why so much of it tastes hollow. Our answer is brewing, not chemistry: Belgian base malts for body, a hop bill pushed well beyond what the strength suggests, and a slow, careful process at Brouwerij Anders in Halen. The result keeps the bitterness, the aroma and the mouthfeel that make beer beer.
What's actually in it
Beer, and the things beer is made of. No artificial sweeteners, no flavour shortcuts.
IPA 0,3%, per 100 ml: 105 kJ / 25 kcal · fat less than 0,5 g · carbohydrate 5,5 g, of which sugars 2,0 g · protein 0,2 g · salt 0,05 g.
Session 3,4% carries no nutrition table. EU rules do not require one on drinks above 1,2% vol, so the brewery does not print one. Need the figures for a menu or a listing? Ask us.
Stay in the moment, and in the day
At 0,3% you can enjoy a proper IPA and drive home, be up early, be sharp tomorrow. At 3,4% you get a genuine session beer, the whole afternoon, at a pace that keeps you in the conversation.
Premium, because of how it's made. Smart, because of what it lets you do.
Questions, answered straight
What is the best alcohol-free beer in Belgium?
Santé Gold Mustache IPA 0,3% was awarded 95 points at the London Beer Competition 2026, judged on quality, value and packaging against beers of all strengths. It is an alcohol-free Belgian IPA brewed in Belgium at 0,3% vol.
Is 0,3% beer really alcohol-free?
Yes. Under EU and Belgian labelling rules, beer at or below 0,5% ABV may be sold as alcohol-free. At 0,3%, Gold Mustache IPA sits well under that threshold. For context, some fruit juices and ripe bananas contain trace alcohol at similar levels.
Does alcohol-free IPA actually taste like real IPA?
It can, if it's brewed rather than stripped. Gold Mustache IPA 0,3% keeps a firm hop bitterness, citrus-and-pine aroma and a dry finish. The common complaint about alcohol-free beer, thin body, hollow flavour, comes from losing the alcohol's contribution to mouthfeel and aroma; we compensate with the malt bill and a heavier hop load.
What is a session beer?
A session beer is a beer brewed deliberately low in alcohol so you can enjoy more than one over a longer occasion, without sacrificing flavour. Santé Gold Mustache Session is a Belgian session beer at 3,4% vol.
What's the difference between the IPA 0,3% and the Session 3,4%?
The IPA 0,3% is alcohol-free, hop-forward and properly bitter, our awarded flagship. The Session 3,4% is a low-alcohol golden session beer: lighter, crisper, more drinkable across an afternoon. Same brewing standard, different occasion.
Can I drive after drinking alcohol-free beer?
Beer at 0,3% contains only trace alcohol, and many people choose it precisely so they can drive. Always follow the drink-driving law where you are, and use your own judgement. The Session at 3,4% is an alcoholic beer, the same rules apply as to any beer.
Is alcohol-free beer a healthier choice?
We don't make health claims. What we can say factually: alcohol-free beer contains far less alcohol than standard beer, and typically fewer calories, since alcohol itself is calorie-dense. Whether that fits your diet or goals is a conversation for you and your doctor, not a brewery.
Is Gold Mustache vegan or gluten-free?
Both beers are suitable for vegans. Nothing in either recipe is animal-derived and the brewery has confirmed the same for the processing aids. Neither is gluten-free: the IPA contains barley and rye, the Session barley and oats.

Is Gold Mustache a 0.0 beer?
No, and we would rather be precise about it. Gold Mustache IPA is 0,3% vol. Under EU and Belgian rules any beer at or below 0,5% may be sold as alcohol-free, so it is correctly labelled alcohol-free, but 0.0 usually means below 0,05%. Those last few tenths of a percent are where a lot of the aroma and body live, which is exactly why this one tastes like beer.
Is there such a thing as alcohol-free craft beer?
Yes, and it is the fastest-growing corner of Belgian brewing. Alcohol-free craft beer is brewed to the same standard as any other craft beer, with real malt and a full hop bill, rather than being made and then stripped. Gold Mustache IPA 0,3% took a gold medal and 95 points at the London Beer Competition 2026, judged against beers of every strength.
